STAGE 10

 Return to the BUILD

“The three openings in the front of the nose play a very important role, as they are the intakes which admit the air needed to cool the engine and the front brakes.

Front Air Intakes

Step 1

Retrieve your Front Nose assembly from Stage 03. Fit the Radiator Grille Mesh to the inside of the Nose, noting the position of these end tabs between the posts as shown:

As this Mesh is installed, it will need to be slightly bent into the Nose to pop into place correctly, as seen here:

Fit the Radiator Grille Frame to the inside of the Front Nose, capturing the Mesh in between as shown:

Begin to secure this Grille Frame into place with one (1) Type A screw at the top center, as shown.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on the threads of all screws going into metal parts:

Step 2

Fit the Left Air Intake Mesh to the inside of the left Front Nose opening.

As far as I could tell, both Intake Mesh parts are exactly the same so either can be used here:

Cover this Intake Mesh with the Left Air Intake (marked ‘L’), as shown:

Secure the inside tab of this Radiator Grille Frame into place with one (1) Type E screw into the Radiator Grille Frame:

Finish securing the Left Air Intake to the Front Nose with one (1) Type A screw:

Step 3

On the other side, fit the Right Air Intake Mesh to the inside of the right Front Nose opening:

Cover this Intake Mesh with the Right Air Intake (marked ‘R’) and secure it to the Front Nose with one (1) Type E screw (yellow circle) and one (1) Type A screw (red circle), as shown:

Thoughts

The more we add to our LaFerrari Front Nose, the better it looks. I am actually giddy about building this model! Store this Front Nose assembly somewhere safe as it will not be needed again in this pack.
