The Front Right Tyre
NOTE: The Front Right Tyre supplied in this stage will be used in the next one, so keep it nearby for now. Just make sure the foam insert is in place:
Step 1
Retrieve your Cockpit Floor assembly and the two Floor Mats from the previous stage. Press the two pins of the Driver’s Floor Mat and Passenger’s Floor Mat into the matching holes at these locations on the Floor.
On my model, the Floor Mats arrived a bit warped. To fix this, I simply let them soak in hot water for a few minutes to soften up:
Then, I could easily install them flat. The pins and holes are different sizes so these Mats should only fit when installed the correct way, as shown:
Step 2
Retrieve your Partition from the previous stage. Press the two pins of the Partition fully into the matching holes at this location on the right side of the Cockpit Floor.
Make note of these two small tabs on the Partition:
These tabs need to slide inside the Pushbutton Panel as the Partition pins are pushed down into place:
Step 3
Retrieve your Safety Belt Attachments and Gearbox Management Control Panel from the previous stage. Press the D-shaped pins of each Attachment into these matching holes of the Cockpit Floor, with one on each side as shown.
The two Safety Belt Attachments are not the same – they are marked ‘L’ and ‘R’, as seen here:
On the left (driver’s) side, press the left Safety Belt Attachment into the matching hole. These should be installed with the marking letter facing in and slightly leaning forward, as shown. I used a tiny drop of super glue to secure these into place:
Likewise, on the right (passenger’s) side, press the right Safety Belt Attachment into the matching hole, as shown:
Press the tab of the Gearbox Management Control Panel into the matching slot at this location on the Central Bridge, as shown:
Thoughts
This stage was all about adding additional details to our LaFerrari cockpit! Keep this Cockpit Floor assembly and the unused Tyre nearby for the next few stages.
