Build
The Rear Window
This Cylinder Block is actually the intake plenum that sits on top of the engine. As the real car has a chrome trim piece around the top, I used my Molotow Liquid Chrome markers to highlight the upper edge of this part. It is not very noticeable on silver paint, but should look decent once our beautiful Air-Box is installed later on. This chrome paint/ink takes a while to dry, so I wanted to get it done early:
Step 1
Retrieve your Cockpit Floor assembly from the previous stage. Press the two pins of the Rear Window into these matching holes of the Rear Window Bezel, as shown:
Step 2
Retrieve your “Limited Edition” Plate from the previous stage. Peel the backing paper from the Plate and adhere it into this matching recess at the forward joint of the Cockpit Floor and the Rear Window Bezel, as shown.
Once this Plate is attached, you can carefully remove the clear protective film from the front of it:
Thoughts
While we did receive the two Alternator parts and the Cylinder Block with this stage, they were not used. The Alternator parts will be used in the next stage, but the Cylinder Block will not be needed until Stage 28.
