“Like all parts of the LaFerrari, the doors feature highly intricate structure, meticulously designed down to the smallest detail.”

The Right Door (3)

Step 1

Retrieve your Right Door assembly from the previous stage. Fit the Right Door Detail to this location inside the Door, aligning the locating pin and screw hole as shown:

Secure this Detail into place with one (1) Type AA screw.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on the threads of all screws going into metal parts:

Step 2

Fit the Right Door Front Panel to these two posts along the forward inside edge of the Right Door Interior, as shown.

There are two alignment holes in the Panel that fits over matching locating pins of the Interior (circled below):

Secure the Front Panel to the Interior with two (2) Type Q screws:

Step 3

Fit the Right Door Interior to the inside of the Right Door assembly, aligning the screw holes as shown.

There are a few areas to focus on as we fit this Interior to the Door – I have listed them below:

The forward edge of the Interior panel needs to be angled to slide this notch down over the chrome hinge, as shown:

Along the bottom of the Door, there are tiny tabs the the Interior panel fits over. I found this ‘joint’ did not like to stay together, so I applied a tiny bit of super glue along the edge and clamped these parts together:

At the rear edge of the Door, simply make sure the Interior is fully seated, as shown:

The Interior should be fitted around this half post on the Door roof, as shown here:

Finally, there are pins on the roof of the Door that align to holes of the Interior panel. I had to gently flex the Door plastic to seat them in the holes at these locations:

Once fitted properly, secure this Interior into place with three (3) Type G screws, as shown:

Complete this stage by pressing the four pins of the Upper Interior Lining into the matching holes of the Right Door Upper Panel, as shown.

This Lining is flocked to give it the appearance of cloth:

This is another stage where the custom paintwork impressed me. I love that these parts were painted correctly right out of the box!
