NOTE: Type J screws are supplied with this stage (not in Stage 01 like the others) – keep an eye out for them!

Build


The Front Frames

Step 1

Retrieve your Front Nose assembly from Stage 03. Press the hole at the ‘straighter’ end of the Right Air Intake Pipe (marked ‘R’) onto this matching right-side post inside the Nose, orienting it as shown:

Step 2

In the same way, press the hole at the ‘straighter’ end of the Left Air Intake Pipe (marked ‘L’) onto this matching left-side post inside the Nose, orienting it as shown:

Step 3

Retrieve your Chassis assembly from Stage 68. Fit the Front Right Frame to the front right corner of the Chassis, as shown:

Secure the rear of the Front Right Frame to the Chassis with one (1) Type A screw.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on the threads of all screws going into metal parts:

Secure the front of the Frame to the Chassis with two (2) Type J screws (supplied in this stage):

Step 4

In the same way, fit the Front Left Frame to the front left corner of the Chassis, as shown:

Secure the rear of this Front Frame to the Chassis with one (1) Type A screw:

Secure the front of the Frame to the Chassis with two (2) Type J screws (supplied in this stage):

Step 5

Begin to slide the Front Nose assembly into the front of the Main Chassis, as shown:

The Air Intake Pipes on both sides need to pass through the center of the respective Front Frames, as shown. You may have to slightly bend/rotate the Pipes to guide them into place, as shown:

As the Front Nose approaches its final position, note these square posts that need to rest in the matching notches of the Front Frames:

Keep moving the Front Nose towards the Chassis until the two rounded tabs can be fitted over these matching posts, as shown:

Secure the Front Nose to the Chassis with two (2) Type N screws:

Thoughts


OK, I did not expect to be emotionally affected after this stage, but I was just stunned by how good this car is looking already. Wow!
