“Like all other body parts, the tail of the LaFerrari, which features red painted surfaces and others in carbon fibre, houses and supports the air flow.”

NOTE: Be sure to remove this twist tie holding the Tail into its blister packaging to prevent any damage to the Tail as you pull it out:

The Tail

Step 1

Place your Tail upside down on a soft surface. Then, test fit the two Grille Frames to the inside of the Tail, as shown.

These Frames are not the same shape and this will help you identify which Frame fits where:

Starting with the Grille Frame for the right side of the Tail, fit a Grille to the outer surface edges, as shown.

As far as I could tell both Grilles are the same, so either one can be used here. However, I did take a moment to gently bend this Grille to better match the shape of the Grille and lay flat across it:

Next, while keeping these parts together, fit this assembly back into the matching right-side opening of the Tail, as shown:

This is the time to make any adjustments to the alignment of the Grille before we secure the Frame:

Step 2

Secure this Grille Frame to the Tail with four (4) Type H screws.

This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on the threads of all screws going into metal parts:

Step 3

In the same way as before, fit a Grille to the outer surface edges of the left Grille Frame and place it into the Tail, as shown:

Again, this is the time to make any final adjustments to the Grille position:

Secure this Grille Frame to the Tail with four (4) more Type H screws:

Finally, while it is not mentioned in the instructions until a later stage, we can go ahead and install the Ferrari Emblem now to keep us from possibly losing such a small part. Firmly press the two pins of the Emblem into the matching holes at this center location of the Tail:

From the fantastic front end we just completed to starting work on the Tail here, this LaFerrari has some beautiful design shapes!
